False Advertisement on Free Online Courses

False Advertisement on Free Online Courses

The Ministry of Education has been made aware of an advertisement circulating on social media falsely claiming that the Ministry is offering free online courses for individuals aged 18 to 80. The advertisement further states that these courses last for four weeks and lead to an official certificate.

Additionally, the advertisement includes an image of the Vice President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, misleadingly suggesting official endorsement. We wish to categorically state that neither the Vice President nor the Ministry of Education is affiliated with this advertisement in any way.

The Ministry of Education has not launched any such program and urges the public to be cautious of misinformation. Any official announcements regarding educational opportunities will be shared through the Ministry’s official website and verified communication channels.

We strongly encourage individuals to report fraudulent advertisements to the relevant authorities. The Ministry remains committed to providing legitimate educational opportunities and will continue to inform the public through official platforms.
